City to join Farish St. project’s bond talks
Two Jackson City Council members pushed through an amendment Tuesday requiring additional oversight over bond negotiations between the city and the developers of the Farish Street Entertainment District.
The measure was tacked on at the last minute to a procedural item setting up a public hearing about whether the Jackson Redevelopment Authority should issue $8 million in bonds to assist developers in completing the initial phase of the $100 million project.
