Suit challenges Miss. campaign finance disclosure
A federal lawsuit filed Thursday claims Mississippi creates burdens by requiring people or groups to file campaign finance reports if they spend at least $200 to support or oppose ballot initiatives.
The lawsuit was filed for five northern Mississippi residents by the Institute for Justice, a libertarian group based in Virginia.
