Mississippi Tea Party To Target 10 Seats

Last week, the Mississippi Tea Party’s ‘Move the House’ campaign announced ten House seats that their group will be targeting to flip from the Democratic to Republican column in November. They have endorsed the Republican challenger in each of these races:

HD 3 (Open, McCoy): Tracy Arnold
HD 4 (Open, Ward): James Benefield
HD 19: (DuVall): Randy Boyd
HD 20 (Puckett): Chris Brown
HD 21 (Bell): Deborah Tierce
HD 45 (Malone): Jay Mathis
HD 79 (Eaton): Ron Swindall
HD 105 (Open, Walley): Dennis Debar
HD 111 (Jones): Charles Busby
HD 122 (Open, Compretta): Dorothy Wilcox

In pinpointing these races, Move the House Committee Chairman Richard Wilbourn said, “Our computer analysis shows that either the liberal’s in these races are vulnerable, or they have decided not to run for re-election making the seat open. Either way, for those 10 seats every conservative victory puts the TEA Party two votes closer to electing a conservative Speaker of the Mississippi House. Indeed, to get on our target list, each challenger must prove to us he or she is qualified, electable, and conservative. We believe all ten challengers meet those criteria and we proudly endorse each of them.”
