Barbour got it done, but lot’s left
The comment about having to work to provide for his family had to have been said half facetiously. Gov. Haley Barbour, through his years running a powerful Washington lobbying firm, has more money than he could ever spend.
His comment at the Neshoba County Fair about writing a book on crisis management will one day find itself into publication. The governor opted against a memoir, joking recently to journalists, that in a memoir ” you have to tell the truth about your friends.”
With his very presence at the Fair, the dynamics of the place changed. Sure, fairgoers wanted to hear from other candidates, but this was Haley Barbour’s day.
