DAVE DENNIS FOR GOVERNOR RAISES $81K FOR PRE-ELECTION
Total raised in 2011 to date $870K; $289K cash-on-hand

Today Dave Dennis for Governor filed a campaign finance report reflecting a total of over $1.66 million raised since he launched his bid to become the next CEO of Mississippi. For the period of July 1, 2011 through July 23, 2011 he raised $81,679 and retains $289,363.82 cash on hand.

Dennis, a businessman from Pass Christian, campaigned in Pascagoula and Hattiesburg on Tuesday and will be campaigning at the Neshoba County Fair near Philadelphia and in Meridian on Wednesday. Dennis said, “I am honored by the generosity of our supporters who are convinced Mississippi’s next governor must have proven, private sector job-creation experience. As we get closer to the election, their contributions are more important than ever and I appreciate their confidence in our message and am very thankful to them all.”

Campaign manager Brian Perry noted the campaign is well funded for the week before the August 2 Primary Election.

“We expect the campaign to be well represented on television, radio and newspapers around the state but the key continues to be the hard work of our volunteers and grassroots team. I know Dave is looking forward to the Neshoba County Fair as his message of strong private sector leadership continues to resonate with Republican voters who want a proven job creator as the state’s next CEO,” Perry said.
