Henry Barbour – Rick Perry can win
Henry Barbour, a 2008 McCain fundraiser and nephew of Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, said the indecision among party leaders provided an opening for his favored candidate, Texas Gov. Ricky Perry.
“There’s a lot of dry powder out there, and there is a lot of interest in Gov. Perry,” Barbour said. “He’s a social and fiscal conservative, and he can win.”
Perry spokesman Mark Miner said the governor hasn’t made a decision yet, but is “talking to folks around the country” about a potential run.
