Burton named to Southern Region Education Board
NEWTON, Miss. — State Sen. Terry Burton, R-Newton, has been appointed to the Southern Region Education Board.
Gov. Haley Barbour made the appointment to fill a vacancy created by the death of state Sen. Jack Gordon of Okolona.
The Atlanta-based Southern Region Education Board is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works with its member states to improve public education at all levels.
