Republican State Auditor Stacey Pickering may claim that his lawsuit against Democratic Attorney General Jim Hood is simply a “policy” issue, but it’s really just long-simmering politics.
Mississippi Supreme Court justices heard arguments last week in the lawsuit Pickering filed challenging Hood’s 2005 agreement in the $100 million MCI/WorldCom lawsuit.
A Hinds County judge ruled last year the fees were legal.
