Dave Dennis raised $456K – $708K cash on hand

By: Magnolia Tribune - May 11, 2011

Today Dave Dennis for Governor will file a campaign finance report reflecting a total of over $1.25 million raised since he launched his bid to become the next CEO of Mississippi. For the period of January 1, 2011 through April 30, 2011 he has raised $455,968.06, and retains $708,867.54 cash-on-hand.

Dennis, a contractor from Pass Christian said, “Mississippians are tired of politics as usual. They want a proven job creator with private sector leadership to cut spending, fight tax increases, improve our schools and reform our government. I am humbled by the generosity of my contributors and emboldened by their support.”

Dennis spoke earlier today to the Mississippi Associated Builders & Contractors in Pearl and will be speaking to the Central Mississippi Tea Party this evening at the Flowood City Hall Complex (2101 Airport Road) from 6pm until 7pm. On Wednesday at noon, Dennis will deliver the keynote address to the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources Coastal Strategies Conference in Biloxi, and that evening he will attend the World War II Veterans Honor Flight at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport.

“The campaign is well positioned to communicate the person and vision of Dave Dennis and that is a message that resonates with Republicans and Mississippians in general. Voters are tired of politicians. They want someone from the private sector with a proven track-record of job creation, who understands finances and the economy’s impact on families and businesses, and who has a vision and heart for the state,” said Brian Perry, campaign manager for Dave Dennis for Governor.
