Redistrict: Partisan games are costly
Redistricting can be a nasty, partisan process in which politicians and parties look out for their own special interests. The only people left out seem to be the voters who get passed around like pawns on a chessboard and the taxpayers who are paying the bills.
The Senate Elections Committee on Tuesday tabled a House-approved plan for its districts, abandoning a traditional “gentlemen’s agreement” to let each chamber redistrict itself.
