Sid Salter – Speaker: He’s still the real McCoy

Now comes the political attack website FireMcCoy.com that seeks to do the same thing in state politics using Mississippi House Speaker Billy McCoy as the same whipping boy that former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi became in the 2010 mid-term congressional elections.

As political strategies go, it’s neither original nor particularly innovative. But the premise is simple – exact signed campaign pledges from legislative candidates to “fire” the current House leadership after the 2011 elections.
