Billy Hewes kicks off bid for Mississippi lt. governor
MOSS POINT, Miss. — Sen. Billy Hewes, R-Gulfport, made his bid for lieutenant governor official Thursday during a stop at Trent Lott International Airport before about 20 supporters.
With his wife, Paula, at his side, Hewes gave a 15-minute speech that touched on the importance of job-creation, family values, conservative government spending and affordable education.
