Alexander latest in U.S. attorney chair
OXFORD – John Marshall Alexander is new interim U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi.
His appointment by the district’s judges takes effect Tuesday, said Chief Judge Michael P. Mills, who swore him in Wednesday.
Alexander, 54, replaces William Martin, who was appointed twice to fill the slot vacated when Jim Greenlee of Oxford retired earlier this year.
Martin reportedly declined another reappointment.
