Bill Marcy, Republican candidate for the 2nd Congressional District, will attend a “Meet and
Greet” at the Martinique Clubhouse in Madison on Thursday evening, September 23, at 6:00 p.m.
The event is hosted by Bonnie Walters of Madison.
Special guest speakers at the event will be Walter Michel and Henry Ross. Michel is a real estate
developer for J. Walter Michel Agency, Inc. He also serves as state senator in the Mississippi legislature
representing District 25 encompassing Hinds and Madison counties. Ross is an attorney who has served
as Circuit Judge in District 2 and was the former mayor of Eupora. He was recently a Republican
candidate for Congress in the June primary for District 1.
“We hope everyone will come out and meet Bill Marcy,” said Julia Hodges, spokesperson for the
Marcy campaign. Hodges continued, “It is time for change in our district and we believe Bill Marcy is
the man for the job.”
Marcy said he looked forward to the opportunity to meet and speak with voters from the 2nd
District. “The challenges facing our district, state and nation are vast,” he said. “Bennie Thompson
continues to support the Obama agenda, open borders and amnesty at a time when unemployment is at a
record high and Mississippians are suffering and struggling to find work and feed their families. It does
not make sense,” Marcy said.
