EUGENE – Former UO quarterback Jeremiah Masoli disputed Oregon’s version of the events that led to his transfer to Mississippi, in documents submitted to the NCAA. The documents were obtained by the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger.
Masoli said he had asked for and received his release from Oregon prior to the school’s announcement that he had been dismissed from the team.
“I was surprised about the announcement because we had already agreed that I was not returning and would be transferring,” Masoli wrote.
