WLOX – Mike Huckabee visits the coast

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) – The Jackson County Republican Women’s 38th Annual Founder Day lunch is set for today at the Civic Center at the Fairgrounds. That’s fairly big news, but what is bigger news is the keynote speaker for the event.

Former Arkansas governor and former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is the guest of honor. All 600 tickets for the event have been sold.

The lunch is a fundraiser for the Trent Lott scholarship fund. So far, the group has handed out more than $120,000 to Jackson County students over the past several years.

But the day started off with a hog ride including the Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann.
