If Today Was Primary Day In Mississippi

In the wake of a major upset tonight in Delaware where conservative insurgent Christie O’Donnell knocked off the moderate Rep. Mike Castle in a battle for the state’s open Senate seat, I assume you could ask what would happen if some of the earlier primaries were being held now.

O’Donnell was backed by the likes of Sen. Jim DeMint, Sarah Palin and the Tea Party Express. Castle, who had been a heavy favorite for months and led the presumptive Democratic nominee Chris Coons by wide margins in all polling conducted to this point, is the latest casualty of the anger against establishment and less than ideologically pure candidates.
