Senator Wicker speaks out against Ground Zero mosque
ACKSON, MS (WLBT) – The proposed Ground Zero mosque has spawned criticism from those who say it’s too close to the site of the world trade center, including United States Senator Roger Wicker.
In a tour at Eaton Corporation in Jackson Monday, Wicker said he thinks the president should ask the Muslim community to build the mosque elsewhere.
Since Friday President Barack Obama has faced criticism after he said Muslims have the right to practice their religion at a mosque in lower Manhattan.
