Alabama QB Star Jackson transfers to Georgia State
ATLANTA — Alabama quarterback Star Jackson has transferred to Georgia State, which started a new football program and will begin play this fall.
Since Georgia State is in a lower division than Alabama, Jackson will not have to sit out a season. The Panthers, coached by Bill Curry, will travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium to face the Tide on Nov. 20.
