Henry Ross launches 750-mile 30 city tour

By: Magnolia Tribune - May 11, 2010

Main Street Mississippi Tour Launches Tomorrow

Many parts of North Mississippi are still experiencing 12 percent unemployment with some places experiencing over 20 percent unemployment. Government spending policies have failed to return our economy to prosperity and I believe it is time we give the private sector its fair opportunity. President Reagan utilized free market principles that in a short period of time lowered unemployment from nearly 10 percent to 5.5 percent. Our economy grew at robust rates for the next twenty-five years and created some forty-three million jobs. I visualize America where we depend on the private sector as the driver of the economy instead of lavish government spending programs. If we follow Reagan’s model and freeze the spending, lower taxes and reduce regulation, we can return our country to an era of economic prosperity.
Tomorrow my campaign and I will launch our 750 mile, thirty-city, four-day Main Street Mississippi Tour. During the Main Street Mississippi Tour I’ll be talking to small business owners and individuals from across North Mississippi. I’ll have the opportunity to tell them in person about my free market stance on taxes and job creation. I’m looking forward to our tour and I hope to see you there. Below is our itinerary. Stay tuned for updates from the tour and any possible changes to our schedule! The easiest way to stay tuned is by visiting www.henryrossforcongress.com.
