What kind of Mississippi State athletic department will Stricklin take over?

Momentum-wise, Stricklin takes over in a fairly good spot. The train isn’t chugging as hard as it was a few months ago given basketball and baseball results, but it’s still there. If football pulls the proverbial engine, as is the case especially in the Southeastern Conference, Stricklin inherits a good situation. Season ticket sales topped the 40,000-mark at State for the first time last year and attendance records were shattered.
