Quarterback AJ McCarron creating buzz around Alabama with spring quarterback play
TUSCALOOSA — As spring practice reaches its final week at Alabama, an increasing amount of buzz is falling on a backup who’s yet to see action in an actual game.
When exactly will that happen for former St. Paul’s quarterback AJ McCarron?
Now entrenched as the Crimson Tide’s top current option behind returning starter Greg McElroy, McCarron went 17-of-30 for 215 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, per statistics released by UA media relations from Saturday afternoon’s closed scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
