ALABAMA ADVISORY BOARD: Tide fans know to trust Saban’s process
Two thoughts on recruiting: First, I restore old cars as a hobby. Part of that process is finding the right part that will fit and mesh with all the other parts so the result will work.
That’s what’s happening with this recruiting class…the right parts with the right fit are being worked into an existing framework. Recruiting at Alabama may never be like it was in the past and is at some other schools; now the emphasis is not on the number of parts recruited, but on the fit and finish of the parts.
The second thought is this: When I went to seminary, our dean told us to “trust the process.” There were times when I thought he was crazy, but in the end, it worked.
