FOXBORO – Close your eyes, listen to Josh McDaniels speak, and you can almost hear his mentor in his words. Open your eyes, look at the gray hooded sweatshirt and you can see it.
McDaniels might have transitioned from Patriots [team stats] offensive coordinator to Broncos head coach, but he hasn’t left what he learned from Bill Belichick behind. Quite the contrary.

“Most, if not all, of the things that we try to do to win in terms of the big picture come from my experience in New England,” McDaniels told reporters in Denver. “(It’s) not because we are copying some other team, but because they have been successful. It is showing itself as a very successful way to do it.”
