Wicker against Obama’s health care plan; worried ballooning deficit
United States Senator Roger Wicker made what he termed his “16th annual August address” to the Senatobia Rotary club last week, and of course he addressed the one issue on most everyone’s mind: healthcare.
Among those in the capacity crowd at the Haraway Center on the Northwest Mississippi Community College Campus were student representatives from four area high schools.
Although Wicker said that one could not base all of their decisions on opinion polls, he pointed out that while some polls show Americans are in favor of the plans currently working their way through Congress, when the questions are asked in a different way -removing the “popularity” of President Barak Obama – the approval for the plans drops.
