Steve McNair Jr. hasn’t had much to smile about the last two weeks, which made Friday a welcome diversion for the soft-spoken Oak Grove football star.
In the morning, McNair returned to football workouts for the first time since his father and legendary namesake was shot to death in Nashville on July 4.
A few hours later, Steve Jr. was notified he’d been selected to The Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen, the 21st annual preseason Dream Team for the state’s top 12 high school football players.
