Future SEC stars pack Super Southeast 120

Two of the seven best quarterbacks in the NFL last season were former No. 1 overall draft picks. The other five were drafted into the league as the No. 2, 3, 4, 11 and 32 overall picks.
Peyton Manning (No. 1 in 1998), Eli Manning (No. 1 in 2004), Donovan McNabb (No. 2 in 1999), Matt Ryan (No. 3 in 2008), Philip Rivers (No. 4 in 2004) and Ben Roethlisberger (No. 11 in 2004) were all first-round draft picks. New Orleans Saints all-pro Drew Brees was the first pick of the second round, going No. 32 overall in 2001.

Anybody paying attention to college football knew that all seven players had a great chance to be successful on the next level. That’s what made them “blue-chip prospects” for the NFL.
