Baseball heaven? Gotta be Fenway

A week that began in Omaha, Neb., at storied Rosenblatt Stadium ends in Boston at more storied and even more beautiful Fenway Park.

This is my own version of an extended stay in baseball heaven.
What Rosenblatt and Fenway have in common is that especial charm old ballparks in old neighborhoods retain through the decades.
What they don’t have in common is this: a future.
Rosenblatt, built on a hilltop in south Omaha in 1947, is not long for this world. Already under construction in downtown Omaha is Ameritrade Stadium, a $128 million project scheduled for completion in time for the 2011 College World Series.
