MSU’s Varnado focuses on getting bigger, stronger
STARKVILLE – Jarvis Varnado stepped into a whole new world a few weeks ago, and it was then that he realized just how unprepared, and undersized, he was to enter it.
Sure, Varnado has always known that he’s needed to beef up. Going up against some big bodies during non-conference play last season served as further reminders.
It’s not that he didn’t hit the weights, it’s just that his body is still maturing – and he had trouble laying off the cookies and cupcakes he so craves.
