Southern Miss radio announcer John Cox was wrapping up the press conference to name Scott Berry as new baseball coach when Berry stepped back to the microphone and said, “Excuse me, one more thing. . .”
Berry pointed to the back of the spacious and crowded M-Club Room at Roberts Stadium, “I just want to thank all the guys back there from the physical plant for all they do and for showing up here to give their support. Few people know how hard they work behind the scenes. I do.”
