Ridgeland alderman at-large keeps seat
Ridgeland’s alderman at-large, Gerald Steen, also won by a large margin – nearly 66 percent – to challenger Thad McLaurin’s 33.8 percent.
It appears that the city’s Ward 4 will see a runoff between Brian Ramsey, who had 46.07 percent of the vote, less than the 50 percent plus 1 required to win the race outright, and Polly Hammett, second in the race with 20.22 percent of the vote.
