Veteran Meridian lawmaker dies at 77
Veteran state Rep. Charles Young, D-Meridian, has died.
State Rep. George Flaggs, D-Vicksburg, confirmed the news shortly before noon today.
“Rep. Young was a well-respected member of the House and a tireless advocate for public education at all levels,” Flaggs said. “His service in the Legislature was honorable for the whole of his long and productive career.”
