Cabrera survives 2-hold playoff to win Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Wearing his new green jacket and a smile that isn’t likely to dim for a while, Angel Cabrera was left Sunday evening to consider all that had happened to deliver him his second major championship victory.
Cabrera had won a Masters that felt for a time like a final-round free for all, needing two extra holes to beat, first, Chad Campbell and then Kenny Perry, who will never forget the Masters he let slip away.
It was a day that seemed to belong to so many others, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, included, before it ultimately belonged to the 39-year old Argentine, who was two strokes behind with two holes to play, hit a tree with his second shot on the first playoff hole and wound up winning as much on will as execution.
