HARPER ENDS MAYORAL BID, ENDORSES MELTON
JACKSON—Joyce Harper, a recent Democratic candidate for Mayor of the City of Jackson, has ended her campaign and has placed her support behind the candidacy of Mayor Frank Melton (D-Jackson). Melton is seeking a second term as mayor after winning the office in 2005.
“We are honored to receive the endorsement of Ms. Harper and look forward to working with her in getting our mayor, Frank Melton, re-elected, so that he can continue working for Jackson,” stated Erik Fleming, Campaign Coordinator for The Committee to Re-Elect Mayor Frank Melton.
