Dogs find Mullen’s methods fast, furious

STARKVILLE — The line, painted in maroon and stretching about eight inches thick, clearly defines the boundary between the grounds of the Carl Maddox Track and the entry to Mississippi State’s football practice fields.
And it clearly defines what new State football coach Dan Mullen wants from his team.
As the Bulldogs walked to their first spring practice under Mullen here Tuesday, they hit the newly painted line and picked up the pace. A walk turned into a jog. A jog turned into a run.
