Everybody wants a coach with NCAA Tournament on his resume
They are coaching for their jobs.
Not the ones they have, but the ones they hope to get. Or keep.
Isn’t that what the NCAA Tournament is all about? While a handful of coaches know they have a legitimate shot at cutting those few final strands of net on championship Monday, everyone else is padding their resume, hoping to get or, in some cases, keep that coveted title of “hottest coach in college basketball.”
You know how it goes. Every year there is one or two coaches whose teams impress everyone, usually by making a run to the Sweet Sixteen. Suddenly those guys become the coach everyone is talking about.
