GREENSBORO Despite all his accomplishments as Duke’s coach, Mike Krzyzewski yearned for improvement.
When you’re the all-time NCAA tournament wins leader with three NCAA titles and 10 trips to the Final Four to your credit, it’s not easy to get better. Coaches with such credentials don’t pay to attend seminars – they get paid to speak at them.
But while coaching the U.S. men’s basketball team to the Olympic gold medal in Beijing last summer, Krzyzewski found what he craved – personal, professional development.
