No hoopla this year for SEC hoops
TAMPA — When it comes to college football, no conference earns more national respect than the Southeastern Conference.
College basketball, though, is a different story, and no conference has been the subject of more ridicule than the SEC this season. The conference has such a bad reputation this season that the handful of “bubble” teams may not get the benefit of the doubt on Selection Sunday.
“This isn’t just a bad year for the league,” said Jerry Palm of the Web site collegeRPI.com. “It’s historically bad.”
