It’s been about a month since Tennessee Coach Lane Kiffin accused Florida Coach Urban Meyer of cheating during the recruiting of Pahokee wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson, who eventually signed with Tennessee. As you probably remember, the Gators broke no rules, the SEC stepped in and Kiffin publicly apologized.
But Kiffin never apologized to Meyer, who addressed the issue for the first time to Sentinel reporter Andrew Carter. Carter covers the Seminoles in Tallahassee and caught Meyer during his appearance at the Governor’s Mansion to celebrate the national title.
Here’s how the back-and-forth went down. Meyer was a little evasive on the subject, but his tone gets the point across.
