HATTIESBURG — Catcher Travis Graves homered, doubled and drove in four runs tonight at Pete Taylor Park, helping Southern Miss beat New Orleans 13-5 and improve its record to 4-0 in the young baseball season.
J.R. Ballinger (1-0) allowed five hits and one earned run in six hittings to get the win.
Bo Davis also homered for for USM, which had 11 hits and was helped by six walks, a hit-by-pitch and two UNO errors. Jerad Comarda homered and drove in three runs for UNO (3-1).
