Today, an attorney representing two Simpson County supervisors filed a motion to quash a subpoena from Judge Larry Buffington. Buffington’s order reeked of whimsy and flaunting power that he may in fact not have.
Buffington had subpoenaed the supes to appear before him to bless the hiring of Oliver Diaz. Apparently, the supes didn’t take too kindly to being “ordered” to do so. They fired back.
We’ll keep an eye on it.
