Eight public school districts won’t be able to make payroll through the end of the school year as a result of recent budget cuts.
A couple of those districts could face cash flow problems sooner.
The districts are Hazlehurst, Benton County, Indianola, Jefferson Davis County, Kemper County, Tate County, Noxubee County and Covington.
They are among 14 that the state Department of Education has flagged as potentially developing negative fund balances.
