Hood: Loses Wind v. Water cases against insurance companies, but wins $46K from the Dell Dude…
Well, the good news is that Attorney General Jim Hood was one of 34 attorneys general nationally who struck an agreement with Dell Computer that will net the state about $46,000 in damages.
The bad news? Seems Hood’s wind-v.-water case against State Farm, Allstate, Farm Bureau, USAA, Nationwide and other companies over Katrina-related flood exclusion clauses was tossed out of Rankin County Chancery Court by Chancery Judge John Grant.
Grant said Hood lacked “standing to sue” in the insurance case.
