Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen busy juggling two jobs
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — On Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock sharp when new Mississippi State football coach Dan Mullen finally has his first team meeting in Starkville, he hopes he’s added a national championship ring and subtracted a cell phone.
“This is my cell phone for Mississippi State,” said Mullen, Florida’s offensive coordinator, reaching in his left pocket during BCS championship game media day Monday at Dolphin Stadium.
And in the right pocket?
“This is my Florida cell phone,” Mullen said.
So what happens when both ring at the same time?
“I answer this one,” said Mullen, holding up his MSU-issued cell phone. “That Mississippi State call is my No. 1 priority.
