McAllister’s future all about money
NEW ORLEANS — Sunday may have been Deuce McAllister’s final game in a Saints uniform, but he’s fairly certain it wasn’t his final game.
“I’m not about to retire,” McAllister said after leading the Saints with 40 yards on eight carries in Sunday’s 33-31 season-ending loss to Carolina. “I still feel like I can play this game. … I may not be able to go out and get you the 50- or 60-yard runs, but I can still get you 4 or 5 a clip.”
Whether he’ll do it in New Orleans next year will be one of the major decisions facing the Saints this offseason as they try to find answers for why a team loaded with offensive talent struggled to an 8-8 finish.
