Report: Hudspeth to join MSU’s staff

STARKVILLE — Mark Hudspeth, a highly successful head coach at Division II North Alabama who has Mississippi ties, will join Dan Mullen’s new staff at Mississippi State, according to a report.
The Times-Daily of Florence, Ala., where UNA is located, reported on its Web site Saturday night that Hudspeth is departing UNA after a seven-season stay and heading to MSU.
A Mississippi State spokesman wouldn’t confirm the report late Saturday night. Speaking to reporters before the Hudspeth news was reported, Mullen said he hoped to have an announcement as early as today on new hires.
