Nutt looks forward to LSU trip
BATON ROUGE — Ole Miss first-year coach Houston Nutt has a 4-6 record against LSU when he was Arkansas’ coach from 1998-2007, including two of his finest days as a coach.
His only win in Tiger Stadium was in his last game as Arkansas’ coach last season when his unranked Razorbacks upset No. 1 LSU 50-48 in triple overtime. His 21-20 upset of No. 17 LSU in 2002 in Little Rock, Ark., in the final moments put his team in the Southeastern Conference championship game.
Nutt returns to Tiger Stadium Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. game between his Rebels (6-4, 3-3 Southeastern Conference) and No. 18 LSU (7-3, 3-3 SEC) on CBS. With a win, he will become the first coach since Alabama’s Gene Stallings in 1991 and 1992 to win at Tiger Stadium in consecutive years.
