Beane doesn’t deal in uncomplicated

It seems we always do this when Wm. Lamar Beane makes a trade: namely, try to figure out why it’s a good idea when it seems not to be.
For instance, this Matt Holliday deal that is only a physical or two away from getting done. Holliday has the resume and name that the Athletics have lacked, but he also has one other thing, the one thing we haven’t thought Beane would be able to seriously tackle:
