Despite it all, keep Tuberville
OXFORD, Miss. — Change is now imminent for the Auburn football program.
Following Saturday’s 17-7 loss to Ole Miss, which probably knocked the Tigers out of bowl contention (unless they upset Georgia and/or Alabama and beat Tennessee-Martin), change is needed.
But that change should not include the firing of Tommy Tuberville as head coach.
Unquestionably, there are problems, but they can be corrected without the drastic — and quite expensive — action of firing Tuberville.
