Fired coordinator says altering Auburn offense was ‘mistake’
Two weeks after his abrupt firing, former Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin said he remains largely “befuddled” by the series of events that led to his dismissal.
Speaking publicly for the first time Wednesday, Franklin did shed some light on one of the strangest weeks in recent Auburn football history, and he acknowledged that some players and assistant coaches probably “got their feelings hurt” by his aggressive coaching style.
